The Kwara APC crisis has taken a new turn after a former senatorial aspirant called on party leaders to embrace reconciliation and allow wider participation in decision-making.
Kwara APC crisis sparks calls for unity
Sola Ajimati, who once contested for the APC ticket in Kwara South Senatorial District, urged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to bring all stakeholders together ahead of the 2027 elections.
He said many party members feel excluded from key decisions. According to him, this has weakened trust within the party structure.
Ajimati insisted that inclusion remains important if the party wants to remain strong. He said every member deserves a voice in shaping its future.
Speaking on the Kwara APC crisis, he also called for a review of the Kwara South senatorial primary. He alleged concerns around the collation process and said transparency would help restore confidence.
Reconciliation committee proposal
He suggested the creation of an independent reconciliation committee. The body, according to him, should engage aggrieved members and help resolve internal disputes.
Ajimati added that political strength depends on unity and dialogue. He warned that division could weaken the party ahead of future elections.
He also raised concerns about insecurity in parts of Kwara State. He urged leaders to work together and avoid distractions caused by internal conflicts.
The Kwara APC crisis has continued to draw attention as more members call for inclusion and internal reforms. Many party stakeholders now believe that reconciliation is necessary to stabilize the party.
