Peter Obi Supporters Released After Hours of EFCC Questioning

Two supporters of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi have regained their freedom after spending nearly half a day at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters in Abuja.

The anti-graft agency questioned the pair before releasing them and directing them to return for another session.

Randy Peter and Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee, honoured the EFCC’s invitation on Tuesday afternoon. They remained at the commission’s office for about 11 hours before leaving shortly after midnight.

Meanwhile, their prolonged absence sparked concern among supporters. Many took to social media to ask about their whereabouts, with some expressing fears that the activists had been detained.

Activist Justice Cracks later confirmed that both supporters had been released. He explained that they answered questions from investigators throughout the session and left the EFCC office without any charges.

However, the commission asked Randy Peter and Mama Pee to return on Thursday as the investigation continues. Justice Cracks also assured supporters that both activists were safe after the lengthy interview.

As stated in daily post,For now, the EFCC has not explained why it invited the two supporters for questioning. The agency has also not announced any charges against them. Their release marks the latest development while the investigation remains ongoing.
