Primate Ayodele Tells Nigerians: Don’t Die for Politicians in 2027

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned Nigerians against risking their lives for politicians ahead of the 2027 elections.

The cleric urged citizens, especially young people, to stay away from political violence. According to Daily Post, Ayodele gave the warning while speaking about the growing political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ayodele said Nigerians should not allow politicians to convince them to put their lives at risk. He stressed that no political ambition was worth the life of any citizen. The cleric also warned youths against becoming political thugs or allowing themselves to be used during election campaigns.

According to him, politicians would not sacrifice their own lives for political interests. He therefore advised Nigerians to think carefully before taking risks on behalf of political leaders.

His warning comes as political activities continue to increase across the country. Political parties and prominent politicians have already begun making moves ahead of the 2027 elections.

Ayodele urged Nigerians to support their preferred candidates without resorting to violence. He also encouraged voters to use peaceful and lawful means to express their political choices.

The cleric stressed that political disagreements should not destroy relationships or lead to the loss of lives. He called on citizens to put their safety first throughout the election period.

Meanwhile, concerns about election-related violence remain a major issue in Nigeria. Previous elections have recorded clashes, intimidation and other forms of political violence in different parts of the country.

Ayodele therefore appealed to Nigerians to remain vigilant as the 2027 elections draw closer. He warned citizens not to let political loyalty cloud their judgement.

The cleric maintained that politicians would eventually move on with their lives after elections. However, citizens who lose their lives to political violence would not get the opportunity to recover.

He urged Nigerians to participate actively in the democratic process. At the same time, he advised them to reject any situation that could put their lives in danger.

As political campaigns gather pace, Ayodele’s message serves as a reminder that political participation should never come at the cost of human life.
