Sunday Igboho Alleges Politicians Are Behind Oyo School Abduction

Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho has claimed that he knows the politicians allegedly responsible for the recent abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State.

Speaking amid growing concerns over insecurity in the Southwest, Igboho said those sponsoring criminal activities in the state are known to him and warned that he could publicly identify them if the situation does not improve.

The activist made the remarks while reacting to the kidnapping of schoolchildren and their teachers, a development that has sparked outrage across Nigeria and renewed calls for stronger security measures.

Igboho Threatens to Expose Alleged Sponsors

According to Igboho, some politicians are allegedly providing financial and logistical support to the kidnappers terrorising communities in Oyo State.

He warned that if the attacks continue, he would reveal the identities of those he believes are behind the criminal activities. Igboho also insisted that the perpetrators are not beyond being tracked down and removed from their hideouts.

The activist further argued that insecurity in the region cannot be defeated without confronting those allegedly sponsoring the criminals from behind the scenes.

Oyo School Abduction Raises Fresh Security Concerns

The abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State has generated widespread concern among residents, labour groups, and community leaders.

Several stakeholders have called on security agencies and government authorities to intensify efforts to secure the victims’ release and tackle the growing threat of kidnapping in the region. Reports indicate that the incident has heightened fears among parents and residents across affected communities.

Calls for Action Against Kidnapping

Igboho’s comments add to the ongoing debate about insecurity and the role of alleged sponsors in criminal activities across the country.

While he did not publicly name any politician, his remarks are likely to fuel further discussions about the need to identify and prosecute individuals who aid or finance kidnapping operations. Security agencies have yet to officially respond to his allegations.

As efforts continue to secure the release of the abducted victims, many Nigerians are demanding stronger action against both kidnappers and anyone found to be supporting their activities.
