The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that President Bola Tinubu has lost control of his administration after reports emerged that a federal agency director refused to vacate office despite an announcement of his removal.

According to the opposition party, the incident raises fresh concerns about discipline, accountability and compliance with official directives. It argued that Nigerians should not treat the development as a routine administrative issue.

ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi made the allegation in a statement. He said the reported refusal to leave office suggests that some officials no longer comply with presidential directives.

Furthermore, the party questioned why the director reportedly remained in office after the Presidency announced a replacement. It argued that the development reflects poor coordination within the current administration.

The opposition party also said the incident strengthens its claim that Tinubu has lost control of key government institutions. It maintained that public officials should comply with lawful directives.

Meanwhile, the ADC insisted that leadership changes should take effect without unnecessary delays. It urged the Presidency to ensure that its decisions are implemented promptly.

In addition, the party said the controversy extends beyond a single appointment. According to the statement, the matter raises wider concerns about how government decisions are enforced.

The ADC further urged the Federal Government to address the issue without delay. It said swift action would help restore confidence in the implementation of official decisions.

Likewise, the party maintained that Nigerians expect transparency, accountability and order from public institutions. It added that government agencies should respect lawful directives at all times.

As stated in daily post,Reports said the director remained in office despite the announcement of his removal and the appointment of a successor. For that reason, the ADC maintained that Tinubu has lost control of parts of his administration and called for immediate action.
