President Tinubu arrives in Lagos after his vacation, telling reporters he is healthy, fit, and ready to get back to work.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived back in Nigeria after finishing his working vacation in Europe. The Nigerian leader landed at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening, where top government officials, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, were present to welcome him back home.
Speaking directly to newsmen on the tarmac right after stepping off his aircraft, the President addressed public concerns and social media chatter regarding his health while he was away from the country.
When reporters asked him how he spent his time away from duty, President Tinubu smiled and answered that he had a great break.
He declared, “I enjoyed myself. Fantastic.” Newsmen then asked him about the worries expressed by many Nigerians who were concerned about his well-being during his stay abroad.
The Nigerian leader quickly dismissed all the negative reports about his condition, telling everyone that he is in high spirits and full strength to continue leading the country.
Reassuring citizens about his physical state, the President stated, “Ready to kick, ready to work. There’s nothing wrong.”
The President went further to explain why people often hear alarming stories whenever a leader travels out of the country for a brief rest.

He pointed out that politicians and critics like to invent stories to cause unnecessary talk among the public. Dismissing the false claims, President Tinubu said, “Rumours will always emanate from politics, but the facts remain, I’m here. Healthy, sound, and ready to go.”
He emphasized that citizens should focus on facts rather than listening to unverified political gossip meant to distract the administration.
The President returned to Lagos to attend special national events, including activities lined up for Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1.
The Nigerian leader is also scheduled to hold key political meetings with stakeholders before returning to the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja to continue his official duties.
