A Ukrainian woman has been named by Interpol as the main suspect in a parcel bomb attack in Monaco that seriously injured a sanctioned Ukrainian businessman and two other people.
Interpol has issued a Red Notice for 39-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska, who is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder, placing an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy.
Authorities said investigations are continuing as police work to identify possible accomplices while searching for the suspect.
The explosion happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. local time on Monday after someone left a package in the entrance hall of a residential apartment building.
The device exploded moments later as three residents, a man, a woman, and a 13-year-old child, entered the building.
Security camera footage reportedly showed the suspect wearing a dark bucket hat before fleeing towards the nearby French town of Beausoleil.
Interpol’s notice describes Berezovska as a Ukrainian national who speaks German. It also says she has dark shoulder-length hair and a tattoo on her right arm that may depict a snake.
Monaco’s prosecutor praised investigators in Monaco and France for quickly identifying the suspect.
The prosecutor said the cooperation between the two countries made it possible “to identify, in a particularly short time, the person suspected of having carried out the attack.”
German authorities have also joined the investigation.

Hessian Police said special forces searched a rented apartment linked to the suspect in the Main-Taunus district on Thursday. Officers also searched and seized a vehicle believed to have been used by her.
“Evidence has been secured and will be handed over to the Monegasque authorities,” Hessian Police said in a statement.
“The Hessian security authorities are supporting the Monegasque authorities in their investigations and are in close contact with them.”
Police added that the suspect remains at large and that an international arrest warrant has been issued.
Monaco’s ruler, Prince Albert II, described the bombing as a “heinous crime.”
The three victims were taken to hospitals in the French city of Nice after the blast.
The two adults suffered serious injuries and were admitted to Nice University Hospital, while the 13-year-old, who sustained minor injuries, was treated at Lenval Children’s Hospital.
According to AFP, the injured man was no longer in a life-threatening condition as of Wednesday, although the woman’s condition remained unstable.
Monaco authorities have not officially identified the victims. However, local media reports said the attack targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner and their son.
Yermolaiev, 58, is a wealthy property developer who lives in Monaco. He gave up his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and is now a citizen of Cyprus.
He has business interests in the wine and alcohol sector in Russian-annexed Crimea and has been under sanctions imposed by the Ukrainian government since 2023.
In 2020, Forbes ranked Yermolaiev as the 39th richest Ukrainian, estimating his wealth at about $230 million.
