Anthony Nyoyoko has earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University, crediting his family, mentors, scholarship organisations and others who supported him through the journey.
Anthony Nyoyoko is celebrating a major academic achievement after completing his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Bucknell University in the United States.
Nyoyoko shared the news on LinkedIn, describing the achievement as a moment of gratitude and reflection after completing his graduate studies.
“I am grateful to share that I have officially earned my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University,” he wrote.
He thanked God for giving him the strength and guidance to complete the programme, while also recognising Bucknell University and its Electrical and Computer Engineering Department for the support and learning experience he received.
A major part of his journey was the support of his academic adviser, Prof. Peter Mark Jansson, P.E., whom Nyoyoko credited for his guidance and mentorship.
He also thanked his thesis committee, family and friends, saying their encouragement played an important role throughout his studies.
Among those he singled out were his uncle, Al Essien, and his wife, Sharese Essien, whom he said gave him the opportunity to pursue his education in the US.

The journey was also supported through scholarships and funding. Nyoyoko acknowledged the NSBE Professionals, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Seyi Odewale Foundation for scholarship support.
He also thanked the Open Discourse Coalition for its funding and continued support during his graduate studies.
For Nyoyoko, the degree means more than another qualification on his CV.
“This degree represents more than a credential to me. It represents growth, perseverance, learning, and the support of many people who helped me along the way,” he wrote.
The post was met with congratulatory messages from friends, colleagues and people who had followed his academic journey. One commenter described himself as Nyoyoko’s engineering maths mentor and congratulated him on the achievement.
Nyoyoko completed the degree in July 2026.
Now, after years of study, support and hard work, he is looking ahead to what comes next. For him, the graduation is not simply the end of a university programme, but another step in a journey he says was made possible by many people.
