Omoyele Sowore has declared that the Sowore revolution will continue despite his recent legal battle. The activist made the remark on Tuesday after a court restored his bail in Abuja.
Speaking shortly after leaving the court, Sowore said nothing on earth could stop the revolution he believes is being driven by Nigerians. He also thanked supporters who stood by him throughout the proceedings.
According to Daily Post, Sowore said the movement is bigger than any one person. Instead, he described it as a struggle for justice, accountability and better leadership. As a result, he urged Nigerians not to lose hope.
He also insisted that his court case would not weaken his resolve. Furthermore, he said he would continue speaking against injustice and demanding reforms through peaceful means.
The activist maintained that the Sowore revolution belongs to ordinary Nigerians who want lasting change. Meanwhile, he said no amount of pressure would force him to abandon the cause.
Earlier, Sowore had been remanded over allegations that he breached his bail conditions. However, the court restored his bail on Tuesday, paving the way for his release.
