President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of retired Major General Adeyinka Fadewa as Special Adviser on Homeland Security, a move aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s internal security structure and improving coordination among security agencies across the country.
The appointment was officially announced on Monday through a circular signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume. The circular was transmitted by the Permanent Secretary of the General Services Office, Dr Ibrahim Kana.
According to the Presidency, Fadewa was chosen because of his distinguished military career, strategic experience, and long-standing contributions to Nigeria’s national security framework. President Tinubu described him as a seasoned officer with the expertise required to help address the growing security challenges facing the nation.
