The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, OlaKitan Oyesiku, and her security guard,Pelumi Adetayo.
The development marks a major step forward in a case that has drawn widespread attention across Ogun State and beyond. Investigators launched a manhunt after Oyesiku and her security guard were found dead at her residence under troubling circumstances.
Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the arrests on Thursday. According to Ojajuni,detectives tracked down the suspects through intelligence-led operations and are working to piece together the events that led to the killings.
Investigators reportedly discovered signs of forced entry during an examination of the residence. Oyesiku’s vehicle was also reported missing. As a result, detectives widened the investigation and pursued fresh leads.
Following the incident, Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni ordered a thorough probe into the case. Detectives increased surveillance efforts and gathered intelligence from several locations linked to the investigation.
The three suspects remain in police custody and are assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries. However, authorities have not released their identities as efforts continue to determine each person’s level of involvement.
Police said detectives are also working to recover additional evidence that could strengthen the case and support possible prosecution. In addition, investigators are examining several leads linked to the killings.
