NNPP Leader Urges Nigerians to Follow Osun Voters’ Example

The National Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Dipo Olayoku, has urged Nigerians to take a lesson from the determination shown by voters during the recent Osun State governorship election.

According to Daily Post, Olayoku said the Osun election showed what voters can achieve when they remain determined and refuse to give up on their right to choose their leaders.

He described the resilience of Osun voters as an example that Nigerians should carry into future elections, especially as the country moves closer to the 2027 general elections.

Olayoku stressed that elections should not be left entirely in the hands of politicians. He encouraged citizens to participate actively and stand firm when exercising their voting rights.

He said the experience in Osun demonstrated that determined voters can make their voices heard despite political pressure and other challenges that may arise during elections.

The NNPP official also urged Nigerians to become more politically aware and pay attention to the issues that affect their communities and the country as a whole.

He noted that citizens have the power to influence the direction of government through their votes. However, he said this power can only make a difference when voters are willing to participate and protect their choices.

His comments come as political parties and politicians begin preparing for the 2027 elections, which are expected to bring increased political competition across the country.

For Olayoku, the events in Osun offer a wider message for Nigerians. He believes voters can shape political outcomes when they remain united, informed and determined.

He therefore encouraged Nigerians not to be discouraged by political challenges but to remain committed to the democratic process. The NNPP national secretary said the courage displayed by Osun voters should serve as motivation for citizens in other states.

He urged Nigerians to learn from the experience and approach future elections with greater confidence, reminding them that their votes remain an important tool for deciding who represents them.
