2027 Election: Adebisi Says He Has What It Takes to Defeat Tinubu

The race for Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election is gradually gaining momentum, with more political figures declaring their intentions.

According to Daily Post, Moses Adebisi, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), said he has what it takes to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.

Adebisi expressed confidence in his ability to emerge victorious when Nigerians head to the polls. He also presented himself as a credible alternative to the major political parties ahead of the election.

The DLA presidential candidate made the declaration while discussing his ambition and the party’s plans for the 2027 contest. His emergence followed the withdrawal of the party’s former presidential candidate, Samuel Memeh.

Memeh stepped aside and paved the way for Adebisi to take over the party’s presidential ticket. The development has placed Adebisi at the centre of the DLA’s preparations for the next general election.

Adebisi said his ambition is driven by the need to offer Nigerians a different style of leadership. He promised to prioritise the welfare of citizens if elected president.

The presidential hopeful also spoke about the economic difficulties facing Nigerians. He said his administration would focus on restoring human dignity and improving the living conditions of citizens.

Adebisi further promised to pay attention to poor and vulnerable Nigerians. He argued that government policies should provide relief for citizens rather than increase their difficulties.

The DLA candidate also identified insecurity as one of the major problems confronting the country. He criticised the continued attacks by bandits and other criminal groups in different parts of Nigeria.

According to him, successive administrations have not shown enough political will to tackle the security crisis. Adebisi said stronger action would be required to restore safety across the country.

He also called on Nigerian youths to support his presidential ambition. The politician urged young Nigerians to become more involved in the country’s political process. He believes their participation could play an important role in determining the outcome of the 2027 election.

Meanwhile, Memeh also used the party’s activities to raise concerns about the state of the nation. He criticised the level of insecurity and economic hardship experienced by Nigerians. Memeh called for improved funding, equipment and welfare for security personnel.

He argued that better support would help security agencies respond more effectively to threats. The DLA chairman also demanded greater accountability from state governments. He said Nigerians should see tangible improvements in areas such as healthcare, education, roads and employment.

Memeh questioned whether President Tinubu should seek another term if his administration fails to deliver significant improvements before 2027. Adebisi’s emergence adds another voice to the growing political contest ahead of the presidential election.

However, challenging an incumbent president will require more than political confidence. The DLA will need to build a strong nationwide structure and convince voters that it can compete with the established political parties.

For now, Adebisi remains confident about his chances. He believes his message can resonate with Nigerians and help him defeat Tinubu when the country votes in 2027.
