Pi Network released technical fixes to clear KYC and mainnet migration errors for over 900,000 stuck pioneer accounts.
The technical team behind the global digital currency project, Pi Network, has officially released a massive system update designed to solve verification and transfer problems for over 900,000 user accounts worldwide.
Official operational updates published on Friday, September 18, 2026, show that the new software fixes address two main technical issues that previously blocked many legitimate users, popularly called Pioneers, from finishing their Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification or moving their mined coins to the main operational network.
This major announcement comes as a huge relief to everyday community members who have spent months or years trying to clear technical error messages on their smartphone applications.
The primary reason why the development team rolled out these emergency system changes right now is that nearly one million honest users were trapped by automated computer security flags.
Under the first major fix, the team re-examined system security records and discovered that over 417,000 real accounts were wrongly tagged as duplicate or fake accounts by automated computers.
Under the second major fix, another group of 497,000 users who used special fast-track digital wallets could not transfer their coins because their wallets did not hold enough small network gas fee tokens to complete the transfer.
By updating the central database rules, the core team can now clear both technical barriers so these users can claim their earned balance.

Explaining the exact details of the account review and how stuck users are being cleared to move forward, official reports from the development team provided clear statements regarding the progress.
Breaking down the numbers for cleared accounts previously tagged as duplicates, the official project announcement noted that “after additional evaluation, the team had determined that over 417,000 users were caught in the duplicated-account review, but in reality, their accounts did not fall into that category”.
Addressing the gas fee issue affecting the second group of fast-track wallet users, the core team confirmed that “these issues will be addressed with an update scheduled for deployment within the next week or so. It will unblock those users and prevent the same problem from affecting similar accounts in the future”.
Announcing an additional new privacy-friendly way for people to verify their human identity without showing their face, the team shared that “for a trial that lasts a month, some users will be asked to complete multiple liveness checks, and the team will offer them palm-print capture as an additional authentication method”.
Crypto market news outlets like CryptoPotato, CryptoRank, and CoinGabbar confirm that the latest updates also allow older, cheaper smartphones to perform live face checks more easily.
Industry observers note that out of sixty million active users globally, clearing these technical obstacles will help millions more people safely join the official mainnet trading platform.
