2027: Kwankwaso Backs NDC to Emerge Stronger Despite Internal Crisis

Vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that the NDC will overcome its current internal crisis, insisting that party leaders are working to resolve disagreements and strengthen the platform ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on the situation within the party, Kwankwaso described the disagreements as temporary. He said they should not distract members from the broader goal of building a strong political platform ahead of the elections.

According to him, party leaders are actively engaging stakeholders to address concerns raised by members. Additionally, they are promoting unity and strengthening confidence in the NDC across the country.

Kwankwaso noted that disagreements are common in political parties. However, he maintained that members can resolve such issues through dialogue, compromise, and mutual understanding when they remain focused on the party’s shared vision.

He urged members to stay united and continue supporting the leadership despite the current challenges. He stressed that the NDC will overcome its current internal crisis and emerge stronger ahead of the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, he encouraged party supporters to remain patient as consultations continue among key stakeholders. He expressed optimism that the ongoing reconciliation efforts would restore confidence within the party and position it for future success.

Kwankwaso also said every political party experiences difficult moments at one point or another. Therefore, he urged members not to lose hope, adding that commitment, cooperation, and open communication would help the party overcome its differences.

His remarks come amid concerns over internal disputes within the party, particularly in Kano State. Disagreements over party positions and candidate selection have fueled tensions in recent weeks.
