Dr. Abel Damina revealed he received numerous emails regarding Apostle Arome Osayi’s claims, warning against religious superstitions and abuse of scriptures.

The founder and senior pastor of Abel Damina Ministries International, Dr. Abel Damina, has broken his silence regarding controversial doctrines and supernatural claims made by fellow Christian minister, Apostle Arome Osayi.

Speaking directly to his congregation and online followers during a recent live teaching, the outspoken cleric disclosed that his office and social media platforms have been flooded with countless messages, video clips, and emails from concerned believers across the world seeking scriptural clarification on claims made by Apostle Osayi.

The doctrinal debate between the two prominent Christian figures resurfaced strongly across social media platforms like Instagram and X, especially after online activist VeryDarkMan questioned several public claims made by ministers regarding spiritual callings and miracles in Nigeria.

Addressing the issue head-on, Dr. Damina explained that he could no longer ignore the sheer volume of inquiries coming into his inbox from confused Christians who wanted to know if certain spiritual experiences, visions, and doctrines aligned with the true message of Christ as written in the Holy Bible.

Explaining why he decided to address the matter publicly during his sermon, Dr. Abel Damina responds to questions surrounding Apostle Arome Osayi’s reported visions, dreams, and supernatural experiences, after receiving numerous messages and videos from people asking for scriptural clarification.

The cleric took direct issue with specific claims, including doctrines suggesting that believers would continue paying tithes in heaven after departing from the earth.

Questioning the logical and scriptural backing behind such statements, Dr. Damina challenged the idea that earthly financial obligations or occupational structures exist in the afterlife to warrant tithing.

He urged preachers to stop inventing mystical stories that distract believers from the finished work of Jesus Christ and the core gospel of salvation.

Urging ministers of the gospel to refrain from twisting scriptural context to maintain control over worshipers, Dr. Abel Damina declared: “Stop all these your superstitions. Stop all this your character assassination of the scriptures. Stop all this abuse of the Bible. Let the people go. Let them serve God. Trust the Holy Ghost”.

Dr. Damina emphasized that the central duty of any Christian teacher or pastor is to point people strictly toward Jesus Christ rather than building a gospel around personal visions, dramatic encounters, or spiritual self-importance.

Citing the biblical book of 2 Corinthians chapter 4, he stressed that when a preacher makes their personal experiences the center of their ministry, it shifts the focus away from God and turns the message into a human-centered doctrine.

Warning against what he described as self-centered preaching in modern churches, Dr. Abel Damina added: “This is the gospel of self, not Christ”.

He further called on ministers across the country to return to faithful biblical exposition, stating: “We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord”.

His final charge to believers and pastors was simple and direct: “Stay with Christ. Stick with Christ. Hold on to Christ. Hear Jesus only”.

Dr. Damina’s response has ignited widespread discussions among Nigerian Christians. While many supporters praised Damina for standing up against questionable spiritual doctrines, others defended Apostle Arome Osayi, arguing that deep spiritual experiences cannot easily be dismissed through basic analysis.
