Journalist Kemi Olunloyo claimed actress Regina Daniels is bound to a wheelchair due to heavy substance abuse affecting her body.

Controversial Nigerian media personality and former medical journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, has sparked massive debate across social media after making severe claims regarding Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

The outspoken commentator released a long public statement on Saturday, October 10, 2026, right after a video of the movie star sitting in a wheelchair, with slurred speech and unusual physical movements, surfaced online during her 25th birthday celebration.

The trending birthday video showed Regina Daniels revealing to her fans that she had been suffering from severe body pain and difficulty moving her legs for several months, leaving her unable to walk normally.

However, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo quickly stepped forward to claim that the young mother’s inability to walk was caused by heavy substance abuse and intake of dangerous chemical mixtures rather than a simple medical illness or autoimmune disease.

Addressing members of the public about her past medical warnings regarding the film star, Kemi Olunloyo stated that she had previously tried to alert Nigerians about the actress’s lifestyle choices, but people refused to listen to her advice.

Reiterating her previous warnings to the public, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo stated: “In a statement, Olunloyo claimed she had previously raised concerns about the actress’ alleged substance use but was criticised by Nigerians who dismissed her warnings.”

The self-proclaimed health professional went ahead to claim that a confidential medical test report shown to her by unnamed contacts contained 11 different hard substances, including a strong medical anesthetic known as ketamine.

She alleged that long-term use of these strong chemicals damaged the leg muscles and nervous system of the actress, making it impossible for her to stand or walk without assistance.

Explaining how the chemical intake destroyed the movie star’s physical health, Olunloyo claimed: “She alleged that a drug report shown to her listed 11 substances, including ketamine. According to Olunloyo, the substance use had affected Regina’s muscles, leaving her unable to walk and requiring a lengthy rehabilitation process.”

The journalist also introduced a new angle to her allegations, claiming that law enforcement agents recently arrested an unnamed female dealer who allegedly supplied mixed chemicals to the movie star.

Detailing how the substances were given to the actress, Olunloyo noted: “The journalist further stated that a female drug dealer had been arrested and accused her of mixing ketamine with Fanta before administering it to Regina.”

Furthermore, the controversial media figure raised questions about the true age of the Nollywood star, insisting that those managing the actress presented her as much older years ago when she got married to her billionaire husband, Prince Ned Nwoko.

Challenging the public celebration surrounding the actress’s milestone event, Olunloyo asked: “Olunloyo also questioned the actress’ age, claiming she had been presented as older when she was introduced to her husband, Ned Nwoko, and insisting that Regina turned 25 on Saturday.”

Addressing fans who were sending congratulations and birthday wishes to the actress despite her health state, Olunloyo remarked: “Is this how a 25 year old supposed to spend their iconic birthday?”

She also slammed social media users for ignoring her earlier warnings and making up excuses about autoimmune diseases to cover up the situation.

Explaining why she could not upload the medical documents online, Olunloyo noted: “Describing herself as a retired journalist and health professional, Olunloyo said she could not publicly release the alleged drug report because of privacy concerns.”

Concluding her statement on a calm note, Olunloyo said: “Despite her claims, she wished Regina well, saying she could only pray for the actress and expressing hope for her recovery.”

Olunloyo’s allegations remain unverified by independent medical authorities, while fans continue to pray for the young actress’s full recovery.
