Binance.US is seeking to raise up to $100 million at a $1 billion valuation to expand its American crypto business and regain lost market share.
The American arm of global digital currency platform Binance, widely known as Binance.US, is seeking to raise $100 million in fresh private funding to expand its business operations across the United States and win back American crypto traders.
The major financial update was revealed on Thursday, October 15, 2026, through an exclusive market report, citing sources familiar with the confidential private fundraising discussions.
According to the disclosure, the platform is targeting a company valuation of about 1 billion dollars in this new private investment round.
The current 1 billion dollar target valuation shows a major drop compared to April 2022, when the exchange successfully raised over 200 million dollars from global investors at a massive pre-money valuation of $4.5 billion.
Explainers in the financial market note that the exchange lost significant market share, customer trust, and several state operational licenses following regulatory legal settlements involving the wider global parent company and federal authorities in late 2023.
Outlining the main goal of the new private capital search and how the company plans to use the money to rebuild its market standing against top American competitors like Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood, the company’s investment plan focuses on strengthening local operations and restoring state legal licenses.
Detailing the exact funding targets and expansion plans presented to potential investors, the Bloomberg report stated: “Binance.US is seeking to raise up to $100 million at a target valuation of approximately $1 billion, a dramatic decline from the $4.5 billion valuation it commanded in its 2022 funding round.”
The report added that the company plans to use the fresh funds to rebuild its presence in American states: “The proposed capital would support the exchange’s efforts to expand its U.S. business, regain market share, restore state money transmitter licenses, and explore entering prediction markets.”
Market sources also revealed that World Liberty Financial, a decentralized financial project co-founded by President Donald Trump, was briefed on the fundraising plan but decided not to invest money in the private round.
Highlighting the stiff market competition facing the platform as digital asset companies push for rapid growth under a more favorable regulatory environment in the United States, industry analysts pointed out that major American rivals are adding new digital trading products to attract everyday users.
Commenting on how established digital currency platforms are fighting to hold onto their trading customers, the financial news report noted: “The proposed round comes as competition intensifies for U.S. crypto customers, with incumbent platforms broadening their product offerings even as foreign-based competitors work to deepen their foothold in the American market.”
While the private investment talks are still ongoing, financial advisers have warned that the final amount raised, the final company valuation, and the list of participating private investors could still change before any official contract is signed.
Investors and crypto traders are watching closely to see if Binance.US will successfully secure the 100 million dollars to rebuild its trading platform across the country.
