PDP chieftain Chinyere Nwele was allegedlly arrested over a controversial Facebook post, drawing heavy defense comments from online supporters.

The police command in Ebonyi State has allegedly arrested Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) women leader, social media critic, and prominent political figure, Mrs. Chinyere Nwele, following a controversial post published on her personal Facebook account.

The legal enforcement action followed accusations that her online commentary contained alleged cyberstalking, public insult, and defamatory claims aimed at government figures.

All allegations, police charges, and claims regarding the online commentary remain unproven and alleged until a competent court of law gives a final verdict on the matter.

The controversy started after Mrs. Chinyere Nwele published a viral statement on her Facebook profile commenting on personal morality and government offices.

Detailing the exact wording that triggered her arrest and legal trouble in Abakaliki, Mrs. Chinyere Nwele wrote on her page: “I’m sexually not promiscuous, and I am 100 percent better than una, Her Excellency, wey small small boys dey fuuuck on the table in her office and inside her car.”

Following her post and subsequent arrest by security operatives, many social media users, legal experts, and political followers flooded her Facebook comment section to air their views, defend her right to free speech, and offer advice.

Analyzing the legal wording of the controversial post and arguing that no specific person was named or tagged in the update, legal commentator Barrister Uwa Chinedu commented: “Una is a slang; no name mentioned, no picture, no tag, and no state. We have thirty six states; the president’s wife is Her Excellency too. though is cyber bullying but not targeted on anyone. u guys are just suspecting a certain state governor’s wife.”

Expressing strong views about political struggles in the state and calling for peace and political recognition for the activist, political observer Chinedu Ugbala commented: “Some people’s behavior need to be followed up with stubbornness, even in the bible, we were told that, in days of John the Baptist, the world suffereth violence, and it’s only the violent ones that taketh it by force. Please make una resolve and recognize Mrs Chinyere Nwele; Ebonyi is our state. My candid advice.”

Mrs. Chinyere Nwele is widely known across Ebonyi State as an outspoken political figure within the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
