Atiku Ally Backs Tinubu Until 2031 After Dumping ADC

Dr. Aslam Aliyu, an Atiku ally, has left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Daily Post, Aliyu declared that President Bola Tinubu will remain in office until 2031. She also insisted there is no vacancy in the Presidential Villa ahead of the 2027 general election.

The Atiku ally said she made the decision after spending nearly two decades in the former vice president’s political camp. However, she argued that the opposition has failed to present a practical plan to address Nigeria’s challenges.

Furthermore, Aliyu accused opposition leaders of focusing more on criticism than proposing workable solutions. She said Nigerians deserve clear policies. She added that practical ideas are needed to improve the country.

Aliyu also urged young people, women and other opposition members to support the APC. According to her, backing Tinubu’s administration is the best path to national development.

Meanwhile, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda welcomed Aliyu into the ruling party. He described her defection as a positive step. He added that she had joined millions of progressives committed to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Before leaving the ADC, Aliyu coordinated Project Atiku Abubakar 2027. She also led the Zamfara Top 10 media support group.

The Atiku ally said her decision reflects confidence in Tinubu’s leadership. She added that the move comes as political realignments continue ahead of the 2027 general election.
