Atiku brings Kenneth Okonkwo on board as spokesperson amid ADC dispute

Atiku brings Kenneth Okonkwo on board as his spokesperson as discussions over the African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential ticket continue ahead of the 2027 general election.

 

According to daily post report,the appointment comes at a time when the opposition coalition is still debating who should become Atiku’s running mate. As a result, the announcement has drawn fresh attention to the ongoing talks.

 

Okonkwo confirmed his appointment in a statement released on Thursday. He said he accepted the offer after consulting his family and political associates.

 

According to him, he decided to take up the role because he wants to support efforts to build a better Nigeria through democratic leadership. He also thanked Atiku for trusting him with the responsibility.
