Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has urged Christians to prepare for the 2027 general elections by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He said the church has enough members to influence who governs Nigeria through active participation in elections.
Speaking during a service at Canaanland in Ota, Ogun State, Oyedepo urged eligible worshippers to register early. He also asked them to collect their PVCs before the elections. According to him, every eligible Nigerian should take the process seriously.
The bishop said voting allows citizens to choose their leaders. He added that active participation can help shape the country’s future. Therefore, he encouraged believers to use their voting rights wisely.
Oyedepo also warned Christians against staying away from the electoral process. He said the church’s large population gives it a strong voice in national affairs. As a result, members can influence leadership by voting peacefully and responsibly.
Furthermore, he encouraged worshippers to combine faith with civic responsibility. He urged them to keep praying for Nigeria. However, he stressed that prayer should go together with positive action. He described voting as an important civic duty.
The cleric reminded members that every vote matters. For that reason, he advised eligible Nigerians to complete the voter registration process early. He said early preparation would help them avoid unnecessary delays before the elections.
In addition, Oyedepo said good leadership depends on citizens’ participation. He noted that a PVC gives every voter the opportunity to support democratic governance. He encouraged members to remain committed to peaceful and lawful participation.
