Monierate Expands Rate Radar with New Financial Platforms

Monierate added platforms like Textile, Gate Exchange, MavaPay, and Zobo to track live exchange rates across 90+ sources in Africa.

Monierate, an online financial tracking service that checks currency prices, announced a major expansion of its tracking tool called the Rate Radar on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The platform added several new financial providers to its tracking system, including Textile, Gate Exchange, Doux, MavaPay, Zobo, Vban, and Karsa.

This major update increases the total number of financial sources Monierate monitors to over ninety different platforms across the African foreign exchange market.

The main purpose of the Rate Radar tool is to collect exchange rates from many different financial apps, digital banks, and peer to peer crypto platforms in one place.

By listing these prices side by side on the web, Monierate allows small business owners, online sellers, and everyday individuals who send money across borders to quickly compare rates and choose the best platform to swap their money.

This update comes at a time when finding accurate exchange rates for the Nigerian Naira, Kenyan Shilling, and Ghanaian Cedi can be confusing.

In the past, people who wanted to buy or sell foreign currency had to open multiple banking apps manually or check informal message groups to see current prices.

Different platforms often charge very different prices for the same amount of foreign currency, making it easy for buyers to lose money if they do not check around first.

Explaining the idea behind adding more providers to the tracking platform, Monierate co-founder Olayinka Omoniyi shared why clearer price checking matters for everyone.

“Our goal has always been to be a transparent and independent source of truth across supported currencies,” Olayinka Omoniyi stated.

He added that “every provider we add makes the market a little more transparent for the businesses that depend on accurate pricing”.

The newly added financial providers bring different types of services into the tracking network. For instance, Textile offers decentralized digital dollar trading, while platforms like MavaPay, Zobo, and Doux offer fast digital bank transfers and international money transfers for Africans living at home and abroad.

Other additions like Vban help freelancers get virtual international accounts, and Karsa provides banking access for trades connecting Asia and Africa.

In simple terms, Monierate is making it much easier for everyday people and business owners to avoid overpaying when changing money.

By gathering prices from ninety different platforms onto one screen, anyone with an internet connection can now see where the cheapest rates are in a matter of seconds.
