Popular Nigerian entertainer Poco Lee faces five sexual offence charges in the UK, including attempted rape and rape.
Famous Nigerian dancer and hype man Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known across the world as Poco Lee, is facing serious legal troubles in the United Kingdom after being charged with five separate sexual offences.
Court officials in London confirmed the official police charges on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, after weeks of public speculation following his arrest in mid August.
The court revealed that the popular star is currently held in a UK prison while awaiting his formal trial hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.
The main reason why the entertainer is locked up is that police officers charged him with one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of sexual assault by penetration.
The alleged offences took place in east London in late July after Poco Lee traveled to the UK to perform at major music events.
Following his arrest, a UK court judge placed him on remand in prison so that he cannot leave the country or tamper with ongoing investigations while legal teams prepare the trial evidence.
Under British law, a person who is charged with a crime is presumed innocent until a court judge and jury decide the case after looking at all the evidence.

Confirming the exact details of the charges to reporters, an official at Snaresbrook Crown Court explained the court list and legal orders protecting the case.
Detailing the exact charges sent to the court, court administrator James Baker stated that “the defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration”.
Explaining the legal protection around the victim’s identity, James Baker added that “there is a reporting restriction on the case provided” which “protects the anonymity of the complainant under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992”.
Poco Lee’s management team has asked the public to stay calm and avoid spreading unverified rumors while the case is being handled by UK courts.
