Security forces have deployed extra officers across Anambra State to ensure peace during First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s official visit.
The Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have sent extra security officers to every part of Anambra State to make sure the land stays completely peaceful.
This big security preparation was confirmed on Monday, September 7, 2026, across the state capital of Awka and surrounding local communities.
Security commanders made this special move because the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is coming for her very first official visit to Anambra State on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Security vehicles, armed police officers, civil defence guards, and military teams are now patrolling major roads, government buildings, public markets, and popular bus parks to prevent any form of trouble or crime before she arrives.
The main reason why security agencies are beefing up safety across Anambra State is to protect the President’s wife, top government officials, and everyday citizens who will gather to welcome her.
During her historic visit, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will work with the state government to launch big community support programs aimed at reducing hunger, helping poor families, and giving money and work tools to thousands of women and young people.
Because many people will come out to join the public events, security leaders want to prevent traffic jams, stop bad boys from causing confusion, and make sure that parents and children can walk around without any fear.
Security officers have asked all driver groups, market traders, and residents to cooperate fully with security guards on the road and follow simple traffic rules.
Assuring the public about the massive safety arrangements, the Anambra State Police Command explained that officers are already on top of the situation.

Speaking on behalf of the police command, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that “he assured that all security arrangements are in top gear to guarantee a peaceful and successful event”.
Giving further advice to residents across the state, the police spokesperson asked everyone to follow road guidelines laid down by officers on duty.
Addressing the citizens directly, SP Tochukwu Ikenga added that “members of the public are therefore advised to cooperate with security operatives and adhere to traffic advisories that will be issued during the period of the visit”.
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s visit will empower over 5,000 vulnerable women and small business owners across the state.
