Atiku ADC coalition is putting President Bola Tinubu under increasing political pressure ahead of the 2027 presidential election, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has claimed.
According to Daily Post, Tambuwal made the remark while speaking at a political gathering. He said the coalition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is gaining momentum as more Nigerians and political stakeholders rally behind the opposition movement.
The former governor argued that the coalition’s growing influence has unsettled the ruling administration. He maintained that the alliance has become a major force in Nigeria’s political landscape as preparations for the 2027 general election continue.
Speaking on the strength of the Atiku ADC coalition, Tambuwal said the alliance has continued to attract influential politicians from different parts of the country. He noted that the movement is expanding because many Nigerians are eager to see a stronger opposition ahead of the next election.
He added that the coalition represents more than a political partnership. According to him, it is an effort to unite leaders who share a common goal of offering Nigerians another leadership option.
Furthermore, Tambuwal urged members of the coalition to remain united despite political challenges. He stressed that unity and discipline would strengthen the alliance as political activities intensify across the country.
He also encouraged supporters not to lose focus. According to Tambuwal, the coalition must continue engaging Nigerians while presenting practical solutions to the country’s pressing challenges.
Meanwhile, the Atiku ADC coalition has continued to dominate political discussions ahead of the 2027 election. Opposition leaders have stepped up consultations and alliance-building efforts as they prepare to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tambuwal insisted that the coalition’s growing popularity explains why President Tinubu and the ruling party are paying close attention to its activities. He argued that the alliance has already changed the tone of political conversations across the country.
Although the Tinubu administration has defended its performance in office, opposition figures continue to argue that Nigerians deserve an alternative. As a result, political debates have become more intense as the next election draws closer.
In addition, analysts expect more endorsements, defections, and political realignments in the coming months. Those developments could significantly influence the shape of the 2027 presidential race.
Tambuwal expressed confidence that the Atiku ADC coalition would continue to attract new supporters before the election. He believes the alliance has the capacity to reshape the opposition and provide a strong platform for contesting the presidency.
However, he acknowledged that the coalition must remain united if it hopes to achieve its objectives. Political observers also believe that internal cohesion will play a vital role in determining its success.
