Tinubu Challengers Lack Foresight to Govern Nigeria – Hamzat

Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has said Tinubu challengers have no foresight needed to govern Nigeria ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Hamzat made the remarks while addressing members of the APC State Chairmen’s Forum. The event took place during a visit to key infrastructure projects in Lagos.

According to the deputy governor, many politicians seeking to replace Tinubu have focused on criticising the President. He said they have not explained how they would govern the country better.

Meanwhile, Hamzat described Tinubu as a leader who welcomes fresh ideas. He said the President listens to useful suggestions. In addition, he supports policies that benefit Nigerians. The deputy governor added that this leadership style has helped to deliver several major development projects across the country.

Speaking on the 2027 election, Hamzat said Tinubu challengers should present practical solutions instead of relying on criticism. He argued that good leadership depends on vision, planning and the ability to solve problems. Therefore, Nigerians deserve leaders with a clear agenda for national development.

Furthermore, Hamzat pointed to the rail lines as examples of long-term planning. He also highlighted the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Eko Atlantic City featured in his remarks as well. The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Badagry-Sokoto Highway were also mentioned. He said the projects reflect Tinubu’s foresight and commitment to Nigeria’s future.

The deputy governor urged APC state chairmen to work closely with their governors. He encouraged public office holders to remain accountable to the people. Ultimately, he said stronger cooperation would improve governance and support national progress.
