President Bola Tinubu has said he remains confident in the ability of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to deliver on the administration’s promises to Abuja residents.
The President made the remark on Thursday while commissioning another infrastructure project in the FCT. Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu praised Wike for the steady pace of development across the nation’s capital.
According to daily post, he said the projects reflect the Federal Government’s commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality infrastructure. According to him, every completed project brings the administration closer to fulfilling its promises.
Tinubu trusts Wike to sustain the momentum and ensure that ongoing projects are completed on schedule. He also commended the minister for his commitment to delivering results and urged him to maintain the same level of dedication.
The President said his administration would continue to reward competence, hard work and measurable performance. Furthermore, he stressed that good governance should be judged by visible results rather than promises alone.
Responding, Wike thanked the President for his confidence and continued support. He added that the FCT Administration would remain focused on delivering projects that improve transportation, boost economic activities and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The minister assured Abuja residents that work would continue on ongoing infrastructure projects. In addition, he said more completed projects would be inaugurated as part of the administration’s development agenda.
The latest commissioning is one of several projects completed across the FCT in recent months. As a result, more communities are expected to benefit from improved roads and other public infrastructure. Tinubu trusts Wike, expressing confidence that the minister will continue to deliver on the government’s promises to the people of Abuja.
