Umahi Challenges Obidients to Defend Peter Obi’s Record as Governor

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has challenged supporters of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to defend his record as governor of Anambra State instead of attacking President Bola Tinubu.

According to daily post, Umahi made the remarks during an interview on Thursday. He questioned the achievements of Obi’s administration. He also argued that critics should compare records before passing judgment.

According to the minister, those who support Obi often criticize Tinubu. However, they fail to highlight what their preferred candidate accomplished while serving as governor.

He said the current administration has continued to deliver major infrastructure projects across the country. This is despite economic and security challenges.

Umahi also praised Tinubu’s leadership. According to him, the President remains committed to improving roads and other critical infrastructure for Nigerians.

Furthermore, the minister urged political supporters to focus on facts instead of emotions. He added that public debate should focus on performance rather than social media campaigns.

Umahi challenges Obidients by asking them to point to specific projects and achievements from Obi’s time as governor. He maintained that every leader should be judged by results.

The minister further expressed confidence in Tinubu’s administration. He said ongoing projects across different parts of the country would speak for themselves in the coming years.
