An American reporter reveals three US drug cases linked to President Bola Tinubu, pointing to a possible fourth secret case.
An American investigative journalist and public transparency activist named Aaron Greenspan has publicly revealed three different drug-related legal cases in the United States that are linked to Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The American researcher made this revelation after spending a long time using official open records laws, known as the Freedom of Information Act, to request hidden documents from top United States law enforcement bodies.
While making these findings public through official court submissions and news reports, the journalist also warned that there could be a fourth drug case involving the Nigerian leader that remains secret and sealed under lock and key inside American court vaults.
The reason behind this big revelation is the ongoing fight by public interest groups and political opponents in Nigeria and America who want total transparency about the past life of President Tinubu.
For many years, people have debated a 1993 court case in Chicago, Illinois, where the United States government took over $460,000 from bank accounts connected to Tinubu because they said the money came from illegal heroin trading.
However, while the President and his lawyers have always argued that he was never convicted of any crime in any court of law, new investigations show that the matter might be much larger than just that single Chicago account.
American law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Central Intelligence Agency, have been holding onto several records.
The journalist explained that these powerful security agencies tried to hide the information by telling the court they could neither confirm nor deny having any secret files.
During the legal battle in a Washington court, Aaron Greenspan pointed out that three separate drug cases already have official record numbers tying them to the Nigerian President or his close associates from the 1990s.

Pointing directly to the refusal of top American police agencies to release all files, the journalist explained that the refusal shows there is even more information kept away from the public eye.
Speaking on the issue of hidden records, the journalist noted that “the refusal and stonewalling” by government offices creates serious suspicion about what else is inside the locked federal vaults.
Furthermore, reports show that President Tinubu’s legal team has gone to court in the United States to stop these security agencies from releasing his personal information to the public.
The President’s lawyers argued that opening these private files would hurt his right to privacy and that political rivals are trying to use the old files to destroy his leadership reputation.
Despite these legal arguments, a United States judge ruled that keeping all the records totally secret was “neither logical nor plausible,” ordering government offices to process the files.
