Activist VeryDarkMan spoke out on the court case involving Jordan Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, over an alleged $2.1 million land deal.

Popular social media critic and activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has raised serious questions over a high profile court case involving Jordan Wike, the 25 year old son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

The social activist reacted strongly to ongoing court proceedings at the FCT High Court in Abuja, where businessmen filed a lawsuit to recover 2.1 million dollars (about 2.8 billion naira) allegedly handed over to Jordan Wike for a 60 hectare land deal in Katampe and Guzape. Speaking in a viral video posted online, VeryDarkMan called on anti-graft agencies to properly investigate the source of the cash and find out if public influence was used.

The court case centers around claims by businessmen who said they delivered 2.1 million dollars in cash to the minister’s son in London and Abuja to secure government land allocations.

During court proceedings before Justice Sylvanus Oriji, Jordan Wike denied receiving any money, claiming he was outside the country on the date mentioned and stating that his signature on court papers was forged.

Reacting to the details coming out of court and questioning the huge amount of money involved in the private land deal, VeryDarkMan expressed disbelief over how a young man could be linked to such heavy cash.

Calling out the minister’s son and questioning his official authority to handle land matters, VeryDarkMan stated: “The boy on my screen, his name is Jordan Wike, no. This one, no go get Wike for a name, we go replace am. This is Jordan Wicked, because this boy don wicked. People don get mind.”

Giving a summary of how the businessmen claimed they paid the money to get government land allocations through the minister’s office, the activist explained the details of the lawsuit.

Breaking down the land transaction details alleged in court documents, VeryDarkMan noted: “Towards the end of September, the alleged man said that he gave this boy a sum of 2.1 million dollars in cash. In cash, for 60 hectares of land in Abuja. This boy told the man, I can get you the land. You know my father that signs land? You know my father that allocates land? Give me the money, I will give my father 2 million dollars, and 100,000 dollars is for me for helping you to help you facilitate.”

Expressing worry over how the matter was denied in court before new evidence was presented by lawyers, VeryDarkMan added: “When they got to court, they called the boy. The boy went there, and the boy denied everything. Said, I don’t know this man. I don’t know this man. I don’t know him. He did not give me anything. What the saying is false. This document is forged. It’s not me.”

Wondering why the FCT Minister has not made an official statement regarding his son’s name being dragged into the land scandal, VeryDarkMan urged the public to demand answers.

Demanding accountability and questioning the role of political children in government business, VeryDarkMan asked: “I’m curious to hear what the father will say. Because if the father comes out, I’m surprised Wike has not said anything yet. If the father will come out to say, Yes, this boy collected this money on my behalf, then the question will be: how much money has he collected on your behalf? And who gave this boy? What position is he in? Is he the finance minister? Who is this boy in the grand scheme of things?”

Calculating the massive value of 2.1 million dollars in local Nigerian currency, the social commentator pointed out that such an amount is huge wealth anywhere in the world.

Showing how massive the money is in local currency, VeryDarkMan added: “2.1 million dollars. That is approximately 2.8 billion naira, bros. Guy, for Nigeria, what did you do for this country again?”

He also questioned the businessman who handed over the huge foreign currency, asking how such cash was moved in London.

Questioning the legality of carrying heavy cash abroad, VeryDarkMan concluded: “This man that gave Nyesom Wike’s son 2.1 million dollars… how did you get 2 million dollars in the UK?”

The FCT High Court has adjourned the case to December 2026 for continuation of the trial.
