Folasade Tinubu-Ojo Rejects Lagos APC Primary Results, Alleges Crisis and Threatens Protest

Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, has rejected the results of the Lagos State APC primaries. She accused party leaders of irregularities in the exercise.

She made the claims during a meeting with market leaders in Ikeja. She said the process favored the Justice Forum faction over other groups.

Tinubu-Ojo described the situation as a growing Lagos APC primary crisis. She questioned the credibility of results from several constituencies, including Mushin II, Agege II, and Ojokoro.

The Lagos State APC leadership had earlier released its official list of candidates for the 2027 elections.

The list includes 24 House of Representatives candidates and 40 State Assembly candidates.

Some prominent names, including Mojisola Meranda, appeared on the approved list.

However, Tinubu-Ojo insisted that some aspirants were wrongly excluded from victory. She named Seye Oladejo, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo, and Olotu Ojo as rightful winners.

She called for an urgent review of the primaries. She warned that failure to act could worsen the Lagos APC primary crisis.

“We are ready to protest. Their mandate should not be given to somebody else,” she said.

She also warned that rising tension between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group could weaken APC unity ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to her, market women remain a strong political force in Lagos and must be given fair recognition in governance and party decisions.
