The member representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency, Ikenga Ugochinyere, has said the APP 2027 election campaign is focused on winning elective positions through the ballot rather than court judgments.
According to Daily Post, Ugochinyere made the statement while addressing supporters and party members at his hometown of Umukegwu Akokwa in Ideato North. He expressed confidence that the Action Peoples Party, APP, is prepared for the 2027 general election.
The federal lawmaker, who is also the APP candidate for the Ideato North/South. Federal Constituency, described the party as a growing political movement determined to reshape the political landscape in Imo State.
He claimed that the 2027 election would be historic for the party. He also alleged there were plans by the ruling party to manipulate the electoral process, especially in Imo State. However, he insisted that such efforts would not stop the APP from achieving victory.
Ugochinyere urged party supporters to remain committed throughout the election period. In addition, he encouraged voters to stay at their polling units after casting their ballots and ensure that their votes count.
He stressed that Nigerians have a constitutional right to vote and defend their mandate peacefully. Therefore, he asked supporters not to be discouraged by any challenges before or during the election.
Speaking further, the lawmaker reminded residents that they had previously elected him despite the difficult circumstances surrounding his campaign at the time.
“You people elected me while I was in exile, and you are going to repeat the same thing this time around,” he told the gathering.
He also said the people would not allow outsiders to undermine the efforts and sacrifices of previous generations who worked to build their communities.
Furthermore, Ugochinyere alleged that political opponents had become uncomfortable with the growing support enjoyed by the APP. He claimed they lacked electoral strength and had instead resorted to acts of intimidation and the destruction of campaign materials.
Despite those claims, he maintained that the party would remain focused on its campaign and continue engaging voters across the constituency ahead of the polls.
According to him, the APP believes the APP 2027 election strategy should be decided by voters at the ballot box rather than through legal disputes after the polls.

Ugochinyere expressed optimism that the party would record strong results in future elections. He urged members to remain united, peaceful and committed as preparations for the 2027 general election continue.
