Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has denied reports linking his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with the Ibom Deep Seaport project.

 

He clarified that his political decision was not influenced by any single development project.

Instead, he described it as a strategic move aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating development in Akwa Ibom State.

Eno Speaks on APC Defection and Ibom Deep Seaport Claim

Governor Eno explained that his defection to the APC should not be tied to the Ibom Deep Seaport project.

According to him, the project is not a new political consideration. It has long been part of Akwa Ibom’s development blueprint.

He added that his administration will continue to support the project through cooperation with relevant federal agencies.
