Osun Police Command Arrests Woman After Local Vigilante Member Dies During Sexual Romp in Ile Ife

Osun State Police arrested a woman in Ile-Ife after a local vigilante member suddenly died during an intimate session inside a house.

Officers of the Osun State Police Command have arrested a young woman after a local vigilante guard suddenly lost his life while having an intimate session with her inside a building in Ile-Ife.

The shocking event took place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State. According to reports from neighbours and community leaders, the local security guard had visited the woman’s apartment to spend time together.

However, during the private meeting, the man suddenly collapsed, started breathing heavily, and became unresponsive on the bed.

The woman quickly raised an alarm, which attracted neighbours and other local security men in the street, who immediately rushed into the room and found the vigilante guard dead before medical help could arrive.

The main reason why the police officers arrested the woman is to help them conduct a full investigation to find out the real cause of the man’s sudden death.

Under Nigerian police procedure, whenever a person dies unexpectedly inside someone’s house or during a private meeting, officers must hold the last person seen with the deceased to answer routine questions.

Detectives want to run a proper medical check and autopsy on the body to know if the guard suffered a sudden heart failure, took strong drugs, or if there was any foul play involved in his death.

Residents and family members of the deceased vigilante were shocked by the sudden incident and demanded a quick explanation from the police.

Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the emergency report, taking charge of the building to prevent angry crowds from causing trouble.

Explaining the swift action taken by the police team, police representatives confirmed the arrest to reporters. Giving details on the ongoing investigation, police authorities stated that “the suspect was taken into custody following the sudden death of the vigilante officer during a private visit to her apartment”.

Assuring the public that detectives will conduct a transparent check on the incident, security officials emphasized that the body has been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy. Outlining the next line of action, police officers noted that “investigation is currently ongoing to determine the actual cause of death before any further legal action will be taken”.

Police officers in Nigeria routinely conduct medical tests on sudden deaths during intimate meetings to clear or charge suspects in court.
