Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration never promised instant solutions to Nigeria’s challenges. Instead, he said the government is focused on delivering lasting progress through sustainable policies and infrastructure development.
Akpabio made the remarks while representing President Tinubu at the inauguration of a newly completed seven-kilometre access road and bridge bypassing the second runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to him, the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to achieve long-term development rather than provide temporary fixes.
Government Prioritises Sustainable Development
Speaking at the event, Akpabio said the government remains committed to improving the lives of Nigerians through practical projects that will have a lasting impact.
He noted that every policy under the Renewed Hope Agenda is aimed at creating meaningful and sustainable growth across the country.
“When we came into office, we did not promise miracles that would appear from thin air. We promised structural, calculated and deliberate progress,” he said.
Akpabio explained that the administration wants Nigerians to experience real improvements in their daily lives instead of relying on short-term measures.
Renewed Hope Agenda Targets Real Impact
The Senate President added that the government’s policies are intended to improve citizens’ welfare beyond economic statistics.
He said the Renewed Hope Agenda seeks to deliver visible development through continued investment in infrastructure and other people-focused projects.
