Former APC presidential aspirant Adamu Garba has officially retired from active politics to focus on leading IPI Group Limited.
Former All Progressives Congress presidential aspirant Adamu Garba has announced his total withdrawal from active politics.
The young politician and tech businessman shared the big decision on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in a personal statement released to the media in Abuja. After years of active participation in elections and public debates, Adamu Garba explained that he is quitting public politics permanently to direct all his energy toward his private technology and investment company, IPI Group Limited, where he serves as Executive Chairman.
The main reason why the young politician chose to walk away from politics is to give maximum attention to growing his private business ventures.
Speaking to supporters and journalists, the former presidential aspirant explained that modern leadership is not only found in government offices or political parties.
He noted that building strong technology companies, creating job opportunities for young people, and growing the national economy through the private sector are equally vital ways to help the country move forward.
Having reflected deeply on his personal journey and future goals, he decided that his skills would bring more value to society through entrepreneurship rather than political campaigns.
Adamu Garba first gained national popularity in 2019 and 2022 when he campaigned to contest for the highest political office in Nigeria as a young leader under the ruling party.

Over the years, he became a well known voice on social media, actively sharing his opinions on national issues, youth development, and government policies.
However, with his official exit from active political participation, he will no longer seek political positions or take part in party activities.

Announcing his retirement from party politics, Adamu Garba stated that he made the move to “focus fully on leading IPI Group Limited” and building solutions that drive economic growth.
Reassuring his supporters that he remains dedicated to national development, Adamu Garba added that “serving the nation is not limited to holding public office,” pointing out that creating jobs and mentoring young innovators in the private sector remains a powerful way to build a better future for Nigeria. Adamu Garba has officially closed his political chapter to lead his corporate organization full-time.
