A massive music festival celebrating the life and famous songs of country music legend Dolly Parton will take place across two major cities next year.
Organizers from the singer’s official estate announced the exciting event on Monday, August 31, 2026. Named “DollyFest,” the global music celebration will take place over two back to back weekends in the city of Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States, and the city of London, England.
Top musicians and famous singers from around the world are expected to perform her classic songs on big stages on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
The main reason why this big music party is being created is to honor the personal wish of the legendary singer following her recent passing at age 80.
Dolly Parton personally came up with the idea for the festival to mark her landmark eightieth birthday in January. Although health challenges forced her to pause the event, her close management team promised to fulfill her dream.
Because the famous star specifically asked not to have a traditional sad public funeral service, her team chose to organize a joyful music gathering where her millions of fans can come together, sing her famous hits, and celebrate her life’s work instead.

The official event will feature popular artists covering famous hit songs like “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” Organizers are currently setting up exact concert dates and preparing ticket sales, with full details expected to be released on her official website in the coming months.

Describing how the famous country star was directly involved in planning the show, manager Danny Nozell stated that “many people behind the scenes know that DOLLYFEST is a dream of Dolly’s that was intended to take place on her 80th birthday in Nashville”.
Why a big party is better than a sad funeral service, Danny Nozell added that “as far as a traditional memorial goes, that is not something Dolly wanted,” pointing out that the festival is “something that is authentic to her, something that feels right to me, and something that artists and fans around the world can participate in”.
