Simon Ekpa Reacts to Finland Jail Term, Says ‘Truth Will Come Out’

Self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE), Simon Ekpa, has reacted to his conviction in Finland, insisting that the truth will eventually come to light.

According to Daily Post, the Simon Ekpa Finland sentence followed a ruling by a Finnish court, which sentenced him to six years in prison after finding him guilty of terrorism-related offences.

Reacting to the judgment, Ekpa maintained that he had been wrongly imprisoned and remained confident that justice would prevail.

“Truth will surely come out. Wrong person imprisoned,” he said in a brief statement after the court delivered its verdict.

The court held that Ekpa’s actions were linked to terrorism-related activities connected to separatist violence in Nigeria, leading to the six-year prison term.

Despite the ruling, the Simon Ekpa Finland sentence has not changed his position. He continues to insist that he is innocent and believes the truth will eventually clear his name.

The Finland sentence has continued to generate reactions in Nigeria and beyond, with supporters and critics closely following the case and its wider implications.
