Activist VeryDarkMan challenges Pastor David Ibiyeomie to curse him, accusing the cleric of using fear to control worshippers.

Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly challenged the founder and presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, following controversial statements made by the cleric regarding his power to place destructive curses on his enemies.

The social media activist posted a video online criticizing the Port Harcourt-based pastor, accusing him of using fear and religious manipulation to frighten and control church members.

The heated exchange began after a video surfaced online showing Pastor David Ibiyeomie addressing his congregation during a church service.

In the clip, the religious leader boasted about the supernatural power of his words, claiming that anyone who tries to trouble him or write negative things against him will face immediate ruin and become useless in life.

He boasted that his tongue carries more power than any writer’s pen or political authority.

Boasting about his spiritual authority and ability to deal with his critics during the church program, Pastor David Ibiyeomie stated:

“Any one who want to trouble me i curse them, you have pen then get tongue. And my tongue is stronger your pen. I know what to pray that the person will be useless for life. Even those who are in political powers, when I pray against them, that’s the end.”

Reacting sharply to the pastor’s claims, VeryDarkMan released a response video where he openly dared the pastor to mention the exact names of the critics he claimed to have ruined through curses.

He called out the cleric for making empty statements intended to intimidate everyday people and make his followers live in constant fear.

Directly challenging the religious leader to call out names and use his spiritual powers on him, VeryDarkMan said:

“Call their name. All the social media people that you have cursed, call their name. I dare you to call their name. You are a liar.”

He went further to challenge the cleric to test his spiritual powers on him directly, adding:

“Pray against me. Pray against me. I want you to curse me.”

The social media critic quoted passages from the Christian Bible to show that the pastor’s words contradict basic religious teachings.

He cited Romans 12:14, which tells believers to bless those who persecute them rather than curse them, as well as Matthew 5:44, which teaches people to pray for their enemies.

VeryDarkMan also questioned why many pastors who claim to possess powerful spiritual weapons never use those powers to protect innocent citizens or fight crime when churches and worshippers face violent attacks.

He accused some religious leaders of only showing enthusiasm when demanding money from their congregation.

Criticizing the practice of threatening church members over money, VeryDarkMan stated:

“Your powers don’t work that time. But when it is time for, ‘Oh, bring tithe,’ you start manipulating people and telling them that if they don’t pay their tithes, their life will be miserable.”

The public challenge has sparked wide debate across online platforms, with many people sharing their views on how religious leaders interact with critics.
