Anambra police arrested a 36 year old woman in Onitsha for alleged child abuse after a shocking video went viral online.
Police officers in Anambra State have arrested a 36 year old woman named Anulika Onyeanusia after a bad video spread fast across the internet showing her allegedly using sex toys on a little child.
The police carried out the special operation on Thursday night, September 10, 2026, in the commercial city of Onitsha.
Officers moved into the house quickly after many worried people on social media saw the shocking clip, shared it widely, and begged law enforcement to save the helpless child.
During the arrest, the police also rescued four small children living in the house, aged two, three, six, and nine years old, and took away sex toys as evidence.
The main reason why the police acted fast and locked up the woman is to protect innocent young children from severe harm, bad treatment, and online abuse.
Senior police bosses explained that using young boys and girls to make explicit video clips for internet views or online money gifts is a very terrible crime that damages children for life.
The police stated that no person has the right to harm small children who cannot fight back or speak for themselves. Investigators have also detained the woman’s husband to question him and find out if he helped his wife do the bad act or knew what was happening in the house.

Explaining how the arrest happened and how the rescued children will be helped, police leaders gave clear statements to members of the press.
Confirming the arrest and the rescue of the four little children from the house, the Anambra State Police Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that “the Anambra State Police Command on September 10, 2026, acting on open source intelligence concerning a disturbing trending video of a lady allegedly using sex toys on a minor, has arrested one Anulika Onyeanusia, a 36 year old woman, in connection with an alleged case of child pornography”.
Expressing deep sadness over the bad act and promising proper care for the young victims, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji, added that “beyond the investigation and prosecution, its priority is the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the rescued children,” noting that “the Command will work with the appropriate child protection and relevant support agencies to ensure that the victims receive the necessary care, protection, counselling and other support required for their recovery”. The woman is currently inside police cells while officers carry out a full investigation.
