Popular social media personality and relationship therapist, Blessing CEO, has once again appeared before a Lagos court after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) re-arraigned her over an alleged N69.1 million fraud case.
The influencer, whose real name is Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, was brought before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja on Tuesday.
According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge linked to alleged false pretence and the theft of N69.15 million.
What Happened in Court?
When the matter came up, EFCC prosecutor C.C. Okezie urged the court to proceed with the arraignment, stating that the defendant had already been served with the charges.
However, defence counsel Nkama Nneka disagreed, telling the court that the charges had only recently been delivered to her client.
After listening to both sides, Justice Oshodi ruled that the arraignment should go ahead. The charges were then read to Blessing CEO in court.
Legal Battle Continues
The latest court appearance marks another development in the ongoing Blessing CEO alleged N69.1 million fraud case, which has continued to draw attention online.
While the allegations are yet to be proven in court, the case remains one of the most talked-about legal matters involving a Nigerian social media influencer.
For now, all eyes remain on the proceedings as the court continues to hear the matter.
