Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has insisted that he is more knowledgeable than many graduates despite not receiving a formal education.
The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) made the statement while addressing people who often question his educational background. According to him, many critics focus on his lack of formal education. However, he believes knowledge goes beyond what people learn in school.
MC Oluomo explained that years of work and life experience have shaped his understanding of the world. He said those experiences taught him valuable lessons. Therefore, he believes they have given him knowledge that compares with what many graduates possess.
To support his argument, he pointed to the achievements of his children. He said all nine of them studied in the United States. He added that they have built successful careers in different professions, including medicine and law.
The transport union leader stressed that missing out on formal education did not stop him from succeeding. Instead, he relied on determination, hard work and practical experience to build his life and provide quality education for his children.
According to daily post,He also encouraged people not to judge others only by their academic qualifications. Rather, he urged them to recognise that education and experience can both contribute to success. He maintained that people should value ability, character and achievements alongside certificates.
