VeryDarkMan mocks rapper Zlatan Ibile, claiming his wedding and new song failed to generate expected online attention.

Popular Nigerian social media commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly mocked famous music artist and rapper, Zlatan Ibile.

The online feud started after listeners heard a line in a newly released song featuring Zlatan, which many fans believe was written to shade the activist using his first name, Vincent.

In a video message posted on his social media page on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, VeryDarkMan laughed at the rapper and claimed that neither Zlatan’s recent wedding nor his new music release managed to blow up or win massive attention online.

The main reason for the online drama started when a new song titled INFERNO came out, performed by music artist Peruzzi alongside Shoday and Zlatan Ibile.

In his part of the song, Zlatan rapped a line that caught the attention of many music fans across the country.

In the song, Zlatan rapped:

“I no be Vincent, I no fit masturbate.”

Because VeryDarkMan’s real full name is Martins Vincent Otse, thousands of music lovers on social media immediately connected the line to him and began tagging him online.

Responding directly to the song in a video message to his millions of followers, VeryDarkMan mocked the artist’s wedding ceremony, which took place in late October 2026, claiming that the high-profile wedding was organized mainly to create hype and promote his music career.

Mocking the turnout and online hype of the wedding, VeryDarkMan said in his video:

“Person wey do a whole wedding because he won promote him album, album no blow, wedding no blow.”

The activist continued to criticize entertainment blogs and public relations handlers who shared videos and pictures from the singer’s wedding event.

He claimed that despite all the money spent on publicity, internet users did not show strong interest or leave many comments on those posts.

Pointing out the online comments on blog posts, VeryDarkMan stated:

“All the blogs that posted the wedding, no one entered 5k comments. All the PR, Vincent everywhere. If that song no stay No. 1 for one month, e go pain me.”

The tense relationship between both public figures dates back to past online disagreements over the investigation following the death of late musician Mohbad, where VeryDarkMan repeatedly called out the rapper publicly.

Music fans and social media users across Nigeria remain divided on the matter, with some praising Zlatan for addressing the activist through music, while others accuse VeryDarkMan of using the situation to drag the music star for personal online attention.
