Grammy winner Wizkid closed the Afro Plus Fest show in Maryland while celebrating 15 years in music.
Famous Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, who many people call Wizkid, brought total joy to music lovers on Sunday, September 6, 2026, as he performed as the main star at the big Afro Plus Fest concert.
The grand music festival took place at the Northwest Stadium Complex located in Landover, Maryland, in the United States of America.
The big event ran for three full days, starting from Friday, September 4, until Sunday, September 6, bringing together thousands of fans.
On the final night, Wizkid sang many of his biggest hit songs, including “Ojuelegba,” “Essence,” “Holla at Your Boy,” and “In My Bed,” making the large crowd sing along from start to finish.
The special show was organized to bring Afrobeats, Hip Hop, and Caribbean music lovers together while marking a major milestone for Wizkid, who is celebrating 15 years since he first became famous.
Wizkid first became a massive star in 2011 after releasing his first big song, “Holla at Your Boy,” from his debut album named Superstar.
Since that time, he has won a Grammy Award, topped big world music charts, and helped spread Nigerian music across the globe.
Other popular musicians like Davido, Tems, Ayra Starr, and Tiwa Savage also performed at the festival to give fans a great experience.

The festival founder expressed immense excitement over how the concert grew from a small idea into a massive event that united music fans worldwide.
Explaining how proud he felt about the success of the music gathering, festival founder Michael Awosanya stated that “the block party we dreamed about for a decade became a reality, and it exceeded every expectation”.
Sharing his vision for the future of the show, Michael Awosanya added that “this sold out debut proved that Afro Plus Fest is not just an event, it’s a movement. This was only the beginning. Afro Plus Fest is here to stay”. Over 40,000 music lovers attended the festival each day to watch their favorite stars.
