Journalist Seun Okinbaloye warns that the 2027 general election is already being rigged through voter register irregularities.

Nigerian broadcast journalist and Channels Television anchor, Seun Okinbaloye, has raised a major public warning regarding the credibility of the upcoming 2027 general elections in Nigeria.

Speaking live on television during the closing section of his daily current affairs program, Politics Today, the famous news anchor stated that politicians and bad actors do not wait for election day to manipulate voting results, adding that the actual process of rigging the 2027 polls has already started behind the scenes.

The television anchor made his strong public remarks on air following days of nationwide public anger over strange irregularities discovered inside the preliminary voter register published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Members of the public checking the official online voter portal discovered fake names, duplicate entries, and AI generated photographs uploaded as registered voters across different local government areas in the country.

Addressing millions of television viewers across Nigeria and beyond, Seun Okinbaloye urged citizens, civil society groups, and political parties to stop focusing only on political campaign rallies and pay urgent attention to what is happening inside the official voter database right now.

He emphasized that if the voter register is not thoroughly checked and cleaned up immediately, the final outcome of the 2027 elections will already be decided before voters march to the polling booths.

Delivering his direct message to the nation during his televised program, Seun Okinbaloye said:

“This is my parting word tonight, the election is usually not rigged on election day, don’t get it wrong. And whatever you may be, jumping around all of the town halls and the political podiums and platforms, the rigging of the election has in fact begun very few months ago and is still much on course.”

He went on to urge the public to demand action and force the electoral umpire to clean up all bad records from the system before it is too late.

Warning the public to speak up without delay, the news anchor added:

“If you don’t take action and speak up now, forget it, 2027 election is already rigged and this is time to clean it up and make sure that it doesn’t happen.”

Concluding his broadcast message, he stated:

“That’s how we close the program tonight everyone and thanks for watching, I’m Seun Okinbaloye, God bless Nigeria.”

The electoral commission recently responded to public outrage regarding fake computer-generated photos found in the preliminary voters list.

The commission admitted that some of its own field registration officers misused their official computer access to upload suspicious photographs and promised that a full system cleanup and investigation are currently underway.

Civil rights groups and opposition political figures have echoed the journalist’s warning, calling on the electoral commission to conduct an open audit of the entire database.

They insist that removing fake voter identities from the official system is the only way to ensure that every valid vote counts when the nation goes to the polls in 2027.
