Civil Defence officers in Kano arrested four men carrying dangerous hard drugs like marijuana and Diazepam during a secret operation.
Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested four men who were secretly selling dangerous hard drugs to youths in Kano State.
The security agency confirmed the big arrest on Monday, September 7, 2026, after completing a secret search operation in the area.
Special officers from the Counter Terrorism Unit based in Dorayi Babba under Gwale Local Government Area carried out the raid at Gaida community inside Kumbotso Local Government Area.
The four men arrested during the operation were identified as 35 year old Abubakar Abdullahi, 25 year old Rabiu Baffa, 35 year old Aminu Lawan, and 33 year old Ibrahim Idris, who all live together inside the same Gaida neighborhood.
Security guards searched their hiding spot and found four packets of Pregabalin capsules called PG, many tablets of Diazepam locally called Fara, three tubes of Oshin liquid solution called Sholisho, and 20 parcels plus three big packs of dry Indian hemp.
The main reason why the Civil Defence officers moved fast to catch these four men is that hard drugs cause destruction in communities, spoil the future of young people, and cause heavy crime like theft, fights, and cult violence.
For a long time, bad people have used secret locations to sell dangerous powders, pills, and dry leaves to young boys and girls, making them mad or making them join bad gangs.
The state security command wants to clear out every drug business so that parents, traders, and young children can live in total peace without bad men causing trouble around their houses.
The security command promised that after finishing their first check, they will transfer all four men and the bad drugs to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for final trial in court.
Speaking on the danger of hard drugs in the state, the Kano State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps warned young people to stay away from bad substances.

Giving his public warning against drug sales, Mohammed Agalama cautioned members of the public, especially youths, against the illegal sale, distribution and abuse of illicit drugs, stressing that “drug abuse remains a serious threat to public safety, security and the well being of society, particularly among young people”.
Explaining what will happen next to the four men caught with the items, the security chief made it clear that the law will take its full course.
Outlining the next action, Mohammed Agalama stated that “after a preliminary investigation by the Corps, the four suspects and the recovered exhibits would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Kano Command, for further investigation and necessary legal action”. Security teams across Kano are working together to raid all secret drug joints.
