Terrorists gave a Zamfara community seven days to collect 50 million naira, 50 sheep, 50 cattle, and motorcycles or face a deadly attack.
Dangerous terrorists operating in Zamfara State have issued a final 7 day warning to a helpless local community, demanding that residents collect N50 million in cash, 100 livestock consisting of 50 sheep and 50 cattle, and new motorcycles or face a mass attack.
The frightening threat was sent to community leaders on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Armed bandits riding heavy motorcycles sent warning letters and local messengers straight into the village, telling every household head that they must quickly raise the huge sum of money and gather the required animals before the deadline expires.
The main reason why the criminals are making these demands is to force poor farmers to finance their illegal hiding spots in the forest.
Local sources explained that the terrorist group wants to collect the cash as an illegal tax and take the livestock to feed their members and stock their hideouts.
Community members, who are mostly simple farmers and cattle rearers, are now living in absolute terror because they do not have such huge funds or animals.

Many families have started fleeing their homes, abandoning their farmlands out of fear that the armed bandits will invade the village, kill residents, burn houses, and kidnap women and children if the money and livestock are not delivered on time.
Explaining the panic and fear spreading across the community, local leaders and residents raised a desperate call for help from government authorities.
Speaking about the heavy burden placed on helpless villagers, a community leader told reporters about the impossible demands made by the armed gang.
Highlighting the threat made by the terrorists, the local representative stated that “the terrorists gave us an ultimatum of seven days to pay N50 million, supply 100 livestock including 50 sheep and 50 cattle, and buy motorcycles for them or they will wipe out the entire community”.
Begging the federal government and military forces to step in immediately, another resident added that “we do not have this kind of money or animals because we are just poor farmers, and if the government does not send soldiers to protect us before the deadline, everyone will be forced to run away”. Residents are begging security agencies to deploy troops to block the bandits.
